Biography :

Rebeca is an expert in insurance law and regulation. Her professional practice focuses on insurance market regulation, providing legal advice on the structuring of insurance programmes, and resolving disputes in the insurance and reinsurance sectors.

She has held key positions, including Head of Legal and International Affairs at Fasecolda, Head of the Property & Casualty & Surety Portfolio at Royal and Sunalliance Colombia S.A., and external legal adviser to insurance and reinsurance companies, financial institutions and players in the energy sector.

Rebeca has spoken at national and international conferences on insurance law, insurance regulation and free trade in financial services. She has also served on the boards of directors of insurance companies and entities linked to the financial and healthcare markets.

She is currently an arbitrator at the Arbitration and Conciliation Centre of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and at ARIAS LATAM, a university lecturer (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad de Los Andes, Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Externado de Colombia), and a member of the board of directors of Acoldese (Colombian Association of Insurance Law) as well as the Ibero-Latin American Council of AIDA (World Association of Insurance Law).

Rebeca is also fluent in German and Italian.
